Cici Cummins: 20 Things You Might Not Know (Bonus Facts Too)
Cici was born in Anaheim, California and remembers her playhorse Star and the "bobbies" (strawberries) in the backyard which she enjoyed picking as a baby. Her neighbor and dear friend Mrs Schermerhorn taught her how the snap-dragon flowers worked and took her on the bus to the dime store for one of each of the things she liked. One copy of each was also purchased for her little sister Kim.
The wild blackberries in the narrow patch where the fence met the garage and which fought their way through old firewood stacks made an impression on her. She often sat with her cats on the couch outside in the garage with all the doors wide open.
She enjoyed spending time quietly holding her rabbits or feeding them and cleaning their cages. The big pine tree where a dove often cooed swayed in the breeze and Dad mowed the dichondra lawn in front or the sprinklers were going.
Cici began studying reflexology and healing with fasting and raw fruits and vegetables as a teenager. Since then she lived for several years at a raw vegan community, grew organic food, was lead singer and vocalist in the band there. Cindy has continued playing an array of instruments primarily classical marimba and guitar with vocals and does her own percussion and is currently in the jazz improv for marimba course at PSU.
Cici began a meditation path early in her adulthood, and traveled to India to study under her Master there.
She created, with her first husband, the late Richard Lawnikanis, a large organic garden on their property in Northern California which she planted and harvested by advantageous moon signs.
In her holistic journey, she studied from New York to California and in between, in Boulder, Colorado. She took extensive courses in Biodynamic Craniosacral, Shiatsu, Polarity Therapy and became a holistic practitioner. She coaches group gallbladder flush and colon cleanses online and in Rawprincess Studio which she founded to share natural healing and creative flourishing in her community. Cici is nationally certified as a bodyworker by NCBTMB. She is a 12-year member of the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA) and has certificates in craniosacral and Shiatsu. Licensed in Oregon, Connecticut and Minnesota. (Active #11683 OR)
Teaching videos for professional bodyworkers are currently underway and launch in spring 2013.
Her recent ebook on beauty tips and spirituality "Rawprincess Rituals and Rants" is available at GettingTheWordOutMedia.com.
Conscious Sexuality and Spiritual Total Power-Exchange (TPE) Relationships is a topic Cici has studied and been trained in, has blogged about, is working on an e-book and plans to offer a second series of classes on in 2013. Editor's Note: Cici has a modified TPE theory e-book is in the works.
In addition to wellness modeling, she is an international leader on health and spiritual service. She leads several online groups and local in-person classes.
Rawprincess Studio and Wellness Center is located in Portland, OR. Green smoothie demos / beauty classes for women who are service oriented, gall-bladder flush protocols, energy yoga, and self-care bodywork are offered, too.
Screenings of the latest documentaries on reversing chronic degenerative diseases--so-called incurable--such as "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days" "May I Be Frank" "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and Dara Dubinet's "Liquids Only" are featured in events. Kale Chips are imbibed rather than cooked popcorn. Meetup.com will be a place for you to be sure to be invited to these events.
Cici runs and writes daily and enjoys time with her three children.
She has led parenting groups for many years and offers morning support groups at Rawprincess Studio.
Her Grandpa was Frank Marshburn of Marshburn Bros. Farms--for many years, they were the largest carrot growers in the country. The three brothers started off from Texas with nothing but a truck and beehive in back, and made their way to California. The book "Spiritual Experiences in Business Life" was penned by her grandpa and features the story of how he vowed to not leave the barn one night until God gave him a sign of what to do next. He often spent entire nights praying. As did her late father, Ted Cummins, a minister.
Her Great-Grandpa was the doctor who delivered Richard M. Nixon, the little house in Yorba Linda is down the street from her grandparents home and still houses relatives. There have been many ties to the Whitehouse and the Nixons including a relation by marriage.
Her ancestors were abolitionists and silent Quakers in North Carolina ...

"We are all a bunch of white f-ers. Quakers actually at the time here. Related to builders of underground railroads and we were quaker since "the Carolina quakers and William Penn." The guy who brought us the freedom of religion, speech, right to trial by jury and freedom to preach whatever the hell he wanted without a license. He was almost hanged but some jurors did 9 weeks in prison because they wouldn't obey the judge's orders to convict. They were deprived food and water and places to got to the bathroom. They emerged completely victorious. This has been a quaker moment." --Cindy's brother, Tim Cummins, on the Cummins / Marshburn ancestry
